The Crusades Wall Map
Between 1096 and 1212, four major Western European military expeditions moved toward the eastern Mediterranean, reshaping medieval politics, religion, and trade routes across Christendom and the Islamic world. The First Crusade reached Jerusalem. The Third pushed against Saladin. The Fourth ended at the sack of Constantinople. The Norman expansion ran in parallel through southern Italy and Sicily.
This wall map covers all four movements on one sheet. Colored arrows show each route across Europe, through the Byzantine Empire, and into the Holy Land. The visual sequence makes the period legible to students studying this historical period.
Kappa Map Group produced the map as part of the Classroom Series, meeting U.S. History curriculum requirements for public, private, parochial, and home school instruction. Map Shop offers it in paper, laminated, framed, or spring roller with backboard finishes for permanent classroom mounting.
