Woman’s Suffrage Before the 19th Amendment
This map addresses a common misconception: American women won the vote in 1920, but a patchwork of voting rights already existed state by state in the decades leading up to ratification. This map makes that history visible.
- Maps four categories of voting rights: areas with no voting for women, areas where women could vote in presidential elections, areas where women could vote in primaries, and areas with complete voting rights
- Published by Kappa Map Group as part of its Classroom Series of U.S. history maps
- Meets U.S. History curriculum requirements for public, private, parochial, and home school programs
- Finishing choices include paper, laminated, laminated or foam core with black or walnut molding rails, framed, and spring roller with backboard
- Combines with other Classroom Series history maps on one roller system, up to eight maps on a single backboard
Used in high school U.S. History and government units on Reconstruction through the Progressive Era, as well as middle school social studies classrooms, home school programs, and library displays. Map Shop builds each finished version to order.
