State of the Nation 1900
This historical wall map addresses a core question in Gilded Age studies: what had industry and westward settlement actually done to the country by the turn of the century? Rather than a plain political sheet, this Kappa Map Group classroom map layers settlement against extraction and manufacturing so the pattern reads from the back row.
The map shows:
- Settled areas and urban population centers
- Industrial areas
- Iron ore centers
- Coal mining regions
- Silver and gold mining
- Inset map of Alaska
Part of the Kappa Classroom Series, it meets U.S. History curriculum requirements and works in public, private, parochial, and home school settings. It supports instruction on immigration and factory growth, westward expansion units, and social studies rooms organized around era maps.
Finishing options include paper, lamination, foam core, rails, framing, and spring roller with backboard. Map Shop can also build multi-map history sets on a single roller system.
