Typography World Map
Every country on this map is built from its own name. Oxford Cartographers set the type so that Brazil, Kazakhstan, Madagascar, and Mongolia hold their real geographic outlines in colored letterforms, with the oceans left clean white. From across a room it reads as graphic art. Standing close, it reads as a world map made of country names, and people start looking for the places they have been.
Colour does the sorting, so one nation separates cleanly from the next without a single boundary line. It suits a reception area, a home office, a design studio, or a travel-minded gift for someone who collects countries.
