Maritime Provinces Railway Map – 1st Edition Atlas of Canada, circa 1904
This sheet from the 1st Edition of the Atlas of Canada shows the reach of the Intercolonial Railway across the Maritimes and part of Quebec, drawn from the 1906 atlas and depicting the railway network as it stood circa 1904. Rail lines print in black, with the territory tributary to each system filled in colour. Any point inside the green area lies closer to an Intercolonial station than to a station on any competing line, and the same method colours the rest of the network. American systems crossing the border appear as well, though they neither owned nor controlled Canadian track.
A statistical table accompanies the map with the following data for each line in 1903–04, plus Canadian totals as of June 30, 1904:
- Mileage
- Rolling stock
- Receipts
- Cost of construction
- Cost of maintenance
