Central America Atlas of the World
This map lifts a single plate out of National Geographic’s 11th Edition Atlas of the World and offers it as a standalone wall map. It covers the isthmus from Guatemala and Belize south through Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama, with both physical and political content on the same sheet, so the volcanic spine and coastal lowlands read as clearly as the borders drawn over them.
- Drawn in the Albers Conic Equal-Area projection, using two standard parallels between which distortion is minimized, though scale and shape are not preserved
- Scale of 1:2,213,000
- Bright color palette with blue oceans and the shaded relief National Geographic has used on its wall maps for more than 75 years
- Finishing at Map Shop: 36lb paper, satin-gloss lamination, foam core mounting, black or walnut rails, or framing
A steady reference for geography teachers, home school parents and home office walls.
