3D Raised Relief Map of Santa Ana, CA
This sheet runs from the Orange County surf line east to the floor of the Coachella Valley. Coverage follows the USGS 1:250,000 series, one degree of latitude by two of longitude: 33° to 34° north, 116° to 118° west. Santa Ana sits near the western edge.
Hubbard Scientific prints the relief on 2mm rigid vinyl, then a technical artist heat-treats and vacuum-forms each print over a custom mold. Color and shading reinforce the elevation changes, giving a scaled, three-dimensional representation of the terrain alongside the visual reference.
- Coast: Newport Beach, Laguna, Dana Point and San Clemente, with the Santa Ana Mountains and Santiago Peak behind them
- The San Jacinto Mountains clear 10,000 feet at San Jacinto Peak, standing directly over Palm Springs
- Desert side: Palm Desert, Indio, the Coachella Valley and the north end of the Salton Sea
- Inland valleys: Riverside, Corona, Temecula, Hemet, Lake Elsinore and Diamond Valley Lake
- Palomar Mountain and the Palomar Observatory across the southern half
- The San Andreas, San Jacinto and Elsinore faults all cross the sheet
Real estate offices, dispatch floors, planning departments and classrooms across Orange County and the Inland Empire use these sheets as regional references. Map Shop carries three-dimensional raised relief maps for many regions across the United States.
