Vermont & New Hampshire Raised Relief Map by Hubbard Scientific
Two mountain ranges with one river valley between them. The Green Mountains run the length of Vermont, the White Mountains fill northern New Hampshire, and the Connecticut River sits in the trough that separates them. That relationship is the whole geography of northern New England.
Hubbard Scientific prints the map on high-grade rigid vinyl. A technical artist heat-treats and vacuum-forms each print over a custom Vermont and New Hampshire mold, which gives the terrain sculptural shape without costing it accuracy as a reference.
- The Green Mountains with Mount Mansfield, Camel’s Hump and Jay Peak
- The White Mountains with the Presidential Range and Mount Washington
- Franconia Notch and Crawford Notch cutting through the New Hampshire high country
- The Connecticut River valley running the shared state line
- Lake Champlain along Vermont’s western edge, Lake Winnipesaukee in central New Hampshire
- The Northeast Kingdom and the northern forest running up to the Canadian border
It works as wall art, a touchable relief model, and a functional map in one piece.
