The United Monarchy by Abingdon Press

United Monarchy Bible Map

This Bible map from Abingdon Press captures a pivotal moment in Old Testament history, showing the kingdoms of Israel as they stood before the tribes united under a single ruler. Anchored in the books of Judges and Samuel, the map depicts the period when leadership shifted from a rotating group of judges to Saul, the first king of the united kingdom.

That before picture makes it highly teachable. Sunday school teachers and parochial school instructors can point to the political landscape described in the passages a class has just read, and homeschool parents working through 1 Samuel can show why the demand for a king came when it did. Pastors and adult Bible study leaders will find it equally useful on a fellowship hall wall.
