Texas Wall Map
Texas is 268,597 square miles of highways, county lines, military installations, indigenous lands, and river systems. Putting all of that on one wall map without losing detail is a cartographic problem. Map Shop solved it by building this one in-house from scratch.
Every city, town, and township is plotted. All federal and state highways include exit numbers. Counties, expressways, major airports, wilderness areas, prominent mountains, and major waterbodies are layered across hillshade terrain relief. Federal and state recognized indigenous land is mapped throughout.
Six metropolitan insets add street-level detail for the state’s biggest cities, including local roads, sports stadiums, colleges and universities, zoos and aquariums, and outdoor concert venues.
The color palette uses neutral marine tones and a subtle land scheme that works in offices, classrooms, and living rooms without clashing.
Map Shop controls every design decision on this one. No licensed base map, no generic template.
