National Geographic 125th Anniversary World Map
This map marks the Society’s founding with a modern take on a classic design. The main sheet shows the contemporary political world, and two insets sit alongside it: the world as it appeared in 1888, the founding year, and again in 1988, the centennial. Read across all three and 125 years of redrawn borders, renamed capitals, and vanished empires come into focus.
The cartography carries the detail National Geographic is known for:
- National capitals and major cities
- Clean political boundaries
- Airports, notable peaks, major rivers and lakes
- Shaded ocean topography
- Warm color palette that holds up from across a room
Map Shop prints this edition in house. Finishing options include:
- Premium paper
- Satin lamination front and back
- Mounting to quarter-inch foam core for pushpins
- Wood rails in black or walnut
- Finished frame
It works as wall art in a study, a firm’s reception area, or a conference room where people stop and read it.
