1891 Greensboro Map
In 1891 Greensboro was already earning the Gate City name, a Piedmont rail junction where the North Carolina Railroad met the lines running north toward Danville. This map shows the Guilford County seat in that moment: a courthouse town of a few thousand people, four years before Moses and Ceasar Cone began building the textile mills that would reshape the north side of the city.
It is a reproduction, not an original sheet. The 1891 map was scanned at high resolution and digitally restored to remove defects, then printed fresh by Map Shop.
- Printed on premium 36 lb paper, or finished with 1.7 mil satin-gloss lamination front and back
- Mounted options laminate the print to 1/4 inch foam core, so map pins hold
- Rails and frames available in black or walnut molding, sawtooth hardware attached and ready to hang
A natural fit for Greensboro natives, downtown law offices, local history collections, and library or museum walls.
