Dominican Republic and Haiti Folding Travel Map
ITMB drove the highways before this edition went to press, and the ground-truthing shows. The map came back with one new toll highway added, hundreds of local farm roads that exist but almost no visitor will use, and the observation that Santo Domingo floods easily in heavy rain. A motorway-like highway under construction between Santiago and Puerto Plata was left off until the work shows real progress.
The Haiti side remains a work in progress by necessity. The road network there is still basic, much of it dirt track, though five border crossings now carry steady cross-border traffic. Top attractions are highlighted in red in separate series for each country.
Paper still works where the cell signal quits. ITMB Publishing has more than 425 titles in print.
