World Urbanization Wall Map
Drawn from National Geographic’s Atlas of the World, 10th Edition, this map treats the city as a data subject, comparing how cities grow, where they cluster, and how unevenly prosperity is distributed across them.
The map is built around six thematic panels:
- Mapping Cities by Population
- Global Cities Index
- City Prosperity Index
- Proportion of Population Living in Slum Areas
- Urbanization and Geography
- Planning for Prosperity
Human geography instructors, urban planning departments, and development and NGO offices use it as a standing reference on a conference room or classroom wall, where the panels can be pointed at during a discussion rather than clicked through.
Map Shop prints it in house on premium 36lb paper. Choose satin 1.7mil lamination for wet-erase marker use, mounting on quarter-inch foam core for pins, or finish it with black or walnut wood rails or framing.
