World Advanced Physical Pull Down Map
This world advanced physical pull down map drops the multi-color political fill and replaces it with a graduated elevation ramp, so terrain reads first and borders read second. Built for grades 9 and up, it mounts on a spring roller with backboard and pulls down over the whiteboard when the lesson calls for it.
- Eckert IV equal-area projection, chosen to portray landmass sizes with minimal distortion
- Shaded relief plus bathymetric relief and ocean surface currents for land and sea geography together
- Georeference and degree lines for teaching the global grid and map-reading skills
- National capitals, major and secondary cities, and disputed areas labeled
- Insets for Europe, Antarctica, and the Arctic, plus an overview inset of all continents and oceans
- Side panels covering population density, geology and bedrock including tectonic plates and volcanoes, and Köppen climate zones
High school geography and earth science teachers, college instructors, and home school parents use it as a standing reference. Map Shop also carries it as a standard wall map, and schools can order by purchase order.
