Asia Primary Spring Roller Map
Ask a second grader to find Mongolia on a standard reference map and the problem shows up fast: type too small, colors too close together. This map was built with teachers for grades 1-5, using large, easy-to-read fonts and high-contrast country fills so young learners can pick out one nation from its neighbors at a glance.
- Equal Earth projection, an equal-area projection that keeps Asian landmasses in true proportion with minimal distortion
- Inset of the Arctic, placing the northern polar region in relation to the continent
- Georeference and degree lines to introduce the global grid
- National capitals and major global cities labeled, plus oceans, mountain ranges, rivers, and lakes
- Flags option adds the flags of the countries shown on the map
- Educational Panels option adds a population density panel with major cities highlighted and an elevation and terrain panel with an elevation ramp, shaded relief, and a side-on elevation profile
Mounted on a spring roller with backboard and printed by Map Shop, it pulls down over a whiteboard in elementary classrooms and home school rooms, then rolls out of the way. Content is updated regularly.
