1912 Europe Wall Map
Two years before the guns of August, Europe looked nothing like it does now. This 1912 Europe wall map holds that vanished political geography in place: the Austro-Hungarian Empire still stretching from Bohemia to the Adriatic, the German Empire holding East Prussia and Alsace-Lorraine, the Russian Empire reaching west across Finland and Congress Poland, and the last Ottoman foothold in the Balkans on the eve of the First Balkan War. No Yugoslavia, no Czechoslovakia, no independent Poland.
It is a reproduction, not an original sheet. Map Shop scans the 1912 original at high resolution and digitally restores the print, clearing defects while keeping the engraved line work and period color of the source.
