Essential Continent Wall Map Set

This continent wall map set from Kappa Map Group gives each landmass its own sheet, stacked on one spring roller assembly with a backboard so a teacher can pull down Africa for one lesson and Asia for the next.

The maps hang in teaching order: North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, Antarctica.

Each map in the Essential series includes:

  • Color-coded countries with clear political boundaries
  • Shaded relief for terrain depth
  • National capitals and major cities
  • Rivers and waterbodies
  • Latitude and longitude lines, with major latitudes emphasized
  • An enriched legend identifying landform types

Content is pitched at grades 4 through 8, so labeling stays readable from the back row rather than crowding the page. Every map is laminated and mounted on the roller by Map Shop, the rear map carries the pulldown bar, and a mounting bracket ships with the set. Wall anchors depend on your wall type and are sourced locally.

Spring Rollers

Colorful political map of the United States with state boundaries and labels.

Spring rollers are the classic way large wall maps are displayed in classrooms, but the vintage style is also gaining popularity as interior design pieces at home or in the office. Pull the maps down when you need them and roll them away when you don't.

Maps are printed and laminated, then attached to a metal spring roller mounted on a powder-coated steel backboard. The roller and backboard slide onto a steel bracket that mounts to your wall. A pull-down bar lets you lower the map and retract it when you're done.
