Suriname and French Guiana Map
Two of South America’s least visited countries sit side by side here: Suriname and French Guiana, separated by the Maroni River and backed by the rainforest of the Guiana Shield. This folding travel map comes from ITMB, which uses Suriname, the country’s own preferred spelling, rather than the older Surinam. ITMB keeps it as its own title within their South America Series rather than folding the Guianas into a single sheet.
Mobile signal thins out quickly past the coastal highway between Paramaribo and Cayenne, which is exactly when a paper sheet earns its space in a daypack. The print is durable enough for real road use and refolds without falling apart.
ITMB Publishing has over 425 titles in print and adds around 30 a year, with strong coverage across Latin America. Map Shop stocks this map for backpackers, overland travelers, and trip planners working out routes before departure.
