Holodomor Map of Ukraine
Between 1932 and 1933, millions of Ukrainian farmers starved while grain left their villages under Soviet requisition. This Ukrainian-language map documents that period, marking where the dead were buried and where the living resisted.
Published by Kartographia, the Hungarian cartographic house, and drawn at 1:1,500,000, the sheet reads as both reference map and memorial. Text and place names are entirely in Ukrainian.
- Burial places of Holodomor victims plotted across the country, alongside monuments to the dead
- Inset maps identifying the districts that suffered the greatest population losses
- Inset coverage of locations where farmers rebelled against the seizure of their food stores
- Map margins carrying photographs of Holodomor memorials in cities and towns throughout Ukraine
Map Shop prints this title on demand on large format inkjet presses, so it is always available in paper, laminated, foam core mounted, railed, or framed finishes. Ukrainian cultural centers, church halls, university history departments, and classroom teachers covering Soviet history use it as a primary teaching and remembrance piece.
