National Geographic Germany Map
This map takes a single plate out of the Atlas of the World, 11th Edition and gives it a wall of its own. Physical and political content share the sheet, so state boundaries and cities read against shaded relief that separates the flat North German Plain and Baltic and North Sea coasts from the Rhine valley, the central uplands, and the Bavarian Alps along the Austrian border.
The color palette is classic National Geographic: bright, legible, blue oceans, and the same shaded relief treatment the publisher has used on its wall maps for more than 75 years. Label placement is handled carefully so dense areas stay readable.
- Scale of 1:1,252,000
- Albers Conic Equal-Area projection, using two standard parallels between which distortion is minimized; scale and shape are not preserved
- Physical and political features on one sheet, all names in English
- Finishing options include paper, satin-gloss lamination, foam core mounting, and rails or frames in black or walnut molding
A solid fit for geography and environmental science classrooms, home school lessons, German language rooms, and home offices.
