Return Policy

The Map Shop is a family-run company and our first priority is to make sure you are completely happy with your order. If you’re not satisfied with the quality of your product, please contact us and we’ll do everything in our power to make you happy.

Stock Items

We offer free returns within 30 days for any in-stock products, including folding maps, books, map pins, and paper or laminated maps. To start a return, contact us within 30 days of receiving your product. Once approved, please repackage the item securely, write the return authorization number on the box, and ship it back to us. We will process your return within three business days of receiving the product.

Please note that we do not refund the original shipping charges, and you are responsible for return shipping costs unless we made an error with your order. If you are unsure whether your order qualifies for a return, please contact us.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return:

  • Any Finished Maps – rails, mounted, framed and canvas. We make these to order just for you and do not stock these items.
  • Personalized or Custom Maps made from our Custom Map Builder
  • City Prints – these are also printed on demand just for you
  • Bulk Orders – if we place a large order from a supplier just for you, this order is not returnable.
  • Clearance Items

Damaged Product

99% of our packages arrive in perfect condition but damage can occur from our carriers. If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within three days of delivery since we need to act quickly to file a claim with the shipping carrier. To process your claim, the carrier requires four quick pictures:

  • The shipping label
  • The damage to the exterior packaging
  • The damaged product
  • The product sitting inside the packaging

Once we receive the necessary documentation, we will send you a replacement product at no additional cost.
