From finding the perfect map to all the shipping options we have, we know you might have some questions. Don’t worry, we have the answers you need! Don’t see what you are looking for below? Please CONTACT US and we will be more than happy to help however we can! 

The amount of time it takes to receive your order is based on two factors:

1. The product turnaround time (this can be found on each product page).

2. The transit time (this can be found in the cart when you choose your shipping option).

We carry thousands of products – some are stocked, some are printed on-demand, others we need to build. Most in-stock items will ship within 2-3 business days but we always try and ship faster. Products that need to be laminated will ship in 3-5 business days. Products that need rails, mounts or frames can take up to two weeks to ship.

Products on backorder can take up to two weeks to ship.

On most orders & products, we offer free shipping! Please read any notices on the checkout page as shipping times vary greatly depending on the time of year and the size of the product.

Shipping times are listed next to each option but can take an extra day or two depending on weekend availability and order date. 

*Oversized framed and mounted maps are shipped via FedEx Freight.

Not all orders will be eligible for all the shipping options that we offer. If you do not see one of the options above while at checkout, your order does not apply. Please CONTACT US if you have any questions with the items you are looking to purchase and the zip code of your area and we will be happy to assist you find the best option! 

Our international shipping is provided by FedEx Express.

It is important to note that international shipping for large items can be expensive but we have additional discounted shipping methods that aren’t available on our website. These rates are based on your location, so please CONTACT US and send us your shipping postal code and the product you’d like and we’ll get you a discounted rate.

We offer free returns within thirty (30) days for any of our in-stock products. CONTACT US within 30 days of receiving your product to receive a return authorization number, which you can write on the box and ship back to us. 

Items like Custom Maps, Framed & mounted maps , or Special Ordered Items (Special Globes, High Quantity Orders, etc.) are not returnable. 

If your product arrives damaged, please contact us within three (3) days of receiving the package. We will need a picture of the outside of the package, the inside of the package and the damage. We will ship you a replacement product free of charge.

*We do not refund the initial shipping charges and you’re responsible for shipping charges to get the product back to us unless we made a mistake in the order.

Yes, purchase orders can be emailed directly to Katy at katy@mapshop.com.  They need to have a clear billing contact, phone number, and email address. Once we verify your business, we will contact you and process your order. Businesses that cannot be verified may be required to pay upfront for the first order.

Large quantity orders are considered special orders and will not be eligible for return.

There may also be additional processing time for your order in addition to what’s listed on the product page. Please CONTACT US with the product and quantity you’d like and we can get started.

The coupon code can be used at MapShop.com at any time – it never expires! Give the gift of exploration to the important people in your life who prefer adventure.

Unfortunately, we do not appraise antique maps or globes. We used to link to companies who do but they seems to be rare and keep closing their doors so we’re unable to offer referrals. Google is a good source for identifying the value of maps that have previously sold at auction. Search for the map name and cartographer.

We do not make custom maps anymore but we offer a number of do-it-yourself custom map engines that allow you to create maps of any area. Please click here to see the available options.

Raised Relief maps are 3-D maps created by vacuum forming 2-D maps onto a mold using heat and air pressure. You can learn about those maps and our processes of creating HERE!
