Malawi and Mozambique Travel Map
Mozambique’s infrastructure has taken a beating since independence, though Beira still functions and the parks east of Malawi are in good shape, while the far north of the country remains largely undeveloped. Malawi rewards the effort differently: Livingstonia sits on a plateau above Lake Malawi, where David Livingstone founded his mission and left behind a town of Scottish stone buildings that has to be seen to be believed.
This Malawi and Mozambique travel map from ITMB folds flat into a daypack or glove box and takes the wear that a long overland trip hands out. GPS is fine until the cell signal quits, which happens often out here, and no phone screen is much use for planning a border crossing or a park approach the night before.
- ITMB Publishing has more than 425 titles in print and adds roughly 30 each year, with real depth in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean
