The 16 inch tall desktop model is supported by a solid wood, disc shaped base and a die cast metal, gold colored semi meridian for a completely sophisticated yet stylish look. The Livingston Globe boasts clean lines and detailed features, and is highlighted by political boundaries when illuminated and physical landmasses when off. The raised relief feature is not found on many illuminated globes. The illumination is easily turned on and off at the simple touch of a button on the inline switch.
