 If you were going to buy just one map to plan and execute your trip to Ireland, this is it. Michelin's cartographic quality is just hard to beat. Look at the close-up below. You can see how they clearly label the major "N" roads. The red numbers are the distances between points on the road.  The red "R" route numbers for the Ireland road system are well marked on the map. But... it's easy to lose track of those numbers when you get in a  large city. Get a city map to get through large cities on your route. But by all means use this map to help you judge distances on your planned route.
